My Silver Duckwing Project PIC HEAVY

I planned on keeping this thread going but it was a little disheartening when I would get no replies :/ Thank you for your interest :) Does your silver hen look anything like mine? Your project sounds like an interesting one! I would love to see a photo of your roo. I have several Polish/EE crosses that I am holding back to make a project out of. Perhaps I will make thread about them too ;)
I will try to get some pictures up soon. I'm in the process of trying to get them moved around to new pens.
I'm goingto start a thread forthem when I get pictures up.

My hen does favor yours quite a bit. The one I lost didin't have a beard.
My favorites are the bearded ones but I also like non beards okay. I'll try to get pictures of her also.

I can't wait to see them :)

I've been reading your thread with interest. Did you ever breed them to a rooster? I was noticing the numbers---ratio of duckwings to non duckwings and found that interesting. Sounds like this is a recessive trait controlled by 2 different genes to give you that ratio.

So sorry I totally forgot about this. I no longer have any if the silver hens.

I do however have a silver Naked Neck hen.
Here she is:
400

I am breeding her with a Wheaten Ducwing Rooster right now, but she us not currently laying. She will eventually go to my Bluw Wheaten Ameraucana. Right now I have nothing to make silver Duckwing but her. I think (experts correct me if I'm wrong) a Salmon Naked Neck rooster that carries silver.

This seemed like an appropriate thread for my boy Yoshi. I bought him from the TSC bantam bin as a pure white chick. He has what I THINK is the silver duckwing coloration, but his comb and stature lead to to think he is mixed with some kind of americauna or other pea combed breed. Any thoughts??
