Unfortunately for me, we don't see DH's side very often, which means we don't see any of our 5 nieces frequently. Although, they are getting older and I figured we could offer to keep them for a week and teach them about farm life
It's always nice to be the cool aunt and uncle.
And my brothers are 20 and 22. Both are too immature, irresponsible and selfish to raise a child themselves, so thankfully, they're keeping their junk wrapped up.
I am looking forward to being able to hold he or she when he baby is happy, smiling and clean. Then handing the baby back to my sister and BIL when the baby is no longer one of the above!
My daughter is already making plans for her cousin to come and spend weekends with us.
I told her that has to wait until the her cousin is potty trained I am more than done with cleaning baby/toddler bottoms
Congrats everyone! We too are having another baby in the family! My nephews wife.
Somethings are miricles, she was 16 when she had breast cancer and chemo etc. Was told she'd never be able to have children.
When she married my nephew (been together 3 years before the wedding bells) she became ill, they hurried her to the doctors assuming all the symptoms of her cancer possibly returned...to find out she was preg with Dylan who is now 3...my nephew went to Korea for 1 year, no family, he had to leave his wife and son behind. He had been home 1 month and she called me and said "Guess what!" I had to laugh, I said "Your pregnant" "HOW U KNOW", It coudn't have been her husband cause she was going to tell him at dinner!!!! We just laughed, I could hear it in her voice.
So from a small family point of view, I hope these guys can have cousins too. I never had any aunts, uncles or cousins. So having a family is such an important thing. I often wish I could have had babies to have given my brothers kids some family on my side.
