He sounds like he's been converted over to "our side" since he loves having that little chick around already.

No, not because of the food he gave her (?) but because he waited until she hatched and THEN calls to ask what to do instead of learning and preparing ahead of time. And, also, because he didn't do research on hatching and put eggs under the hen for a period of days. I guess I'm a crotchety old woman in my sunset years.

I've been TRYING to get him to join in on BYC but now I'm not so sure I want him to. He might see this thread!!
