Change your email and don't tell them!

They would probably find out in the long run, but maybe they would get the hint

I delete all forwards that are sent to me, I figure if the email is important they will sent it to me personally. I get maybe 1-2 spams a months. I contribute that to having my security settings high.and also having a router seems to have eliminated all other junk. I bought the linkskys router. I get annoyed when friends and family assume you want your inbox full of jokes and useless emails. Oh and when somebody ignores my request to stop forwards I put them on my spam list and never see the crud they send. My husband got phished from answering a chain letter a friend had sent.

I totally agree, Miss_Jayne. You've handled it perfectly, IMHO.

BTW...my own dad is the other worst offender. we have had to ask him to quit sending things to our home AND workplace. (where, they are allowed to access our accounts.)
he sends jokes that have crude humor, which we don't even allow in our homes. i had to tell him over and over. looks like dad will be getting the block too. i am on the war path.

I have a gal that I work with that I have asked her NUMEROUS time not to send me these internet rumor emails. Finally Istarted posting the link to truthorfiction.com and sending it out to everyone she did! The have since mostly stopped.

and that wont actually solve the problem, because they will still be posting my email address in their emails, i just wont see them anymore. aaaaargghhhh! looks like i'll be making some phone calls!

the same lady just sent me ANOTHER forward, and mine was the only email address on it! means she used the Bcc!

of course, still hasn't actually answered any of my personal emails. so weird.

now, hopefully, my dad gets the picture.

You can block on hotmail. GO to options I think. I blocked quite a few. Or you can put that email in the spam or junk folder
