my stupid rant (IT WORKED!!!)

Hi Miss Jayne - the forwarded e-mails, especially the Christian ones that bascially threaten you or guilt you that "if you love Jesus and love the person who sent this to you, you will forward it to ten people including the one who sent it to you....if not,...." are really my pet peeve. I absolutely hate them. They are nothing more than e-mail chain letters. I can't block the people sending them because they come from my family and friends and I can't block them because they do occasionally, though rarely, send e-mails to stay in touch. But they all know I don't forward them to anyone nor do I forward it back to the sender but they keep including my address as one of their "ten".

I've gotten e-mails where it has been forwarded so many times and everyone's e-mail address is in the e-mail and the addresses go on for pages and pages till you actually get to the e-mail itself.

I don't think people realize that all of those e-mail addresses can get captured by on-line spammers and cookies that are designed to capture them and forward them onto the spammers. No one should ever open and forward and copy e-mail addresses into these type of chain-letter e-mails. There's a reason they are designed and worded the way they are and use the bible scripture to try and get you to copy your e-mail in with all the others and forward it to as many people as you can - and the reason is NOT because the original designer wants to bless everyone.

I'll bless them by NOT sending their e-mail address out there into the internet world where viruses and hackers and spammers live.

that is seriously my point, Monique.

my dad just forwarded more stuff.

i think my other peeve is, obviously, reading the real emails i send isn't nearly as important as the 'forward' junk.
