My Thanksgiving Chicks!

Thanks to Julie, I have 5 new beautiful chicks for Thanksgiving. They just hatched today, November 24th, and should be running around their brooder by tomorrow. My favorite is the red colored chick. Very nice color.

I'm always amazed that a living thing who is that fragile when first hatched is up and running 24 hours later!

They are adorible. I have one little EE that hatched this morning on Turkey day. How amazing. It is my first hatch and one more pipped already.

Beautiful, love the color mix. It is very cold here in Maine and I let my broody hen sit on 5 eggs thy were due to hatch tomorrow. After Thanksgiving dinner my Dad wanted to se my chickens, when we went out we could hear the cheeps, one had just hatched out and another part way out, this morning I have 3, they are looking good. I put a heat lamp in the nest box under her. I fretted all night. COngrats to our Thanks givng blessing too.
