I've had luck with collecting those 10x10x10 chain link dog runs on Craigslist for fencing. I have 3 now all connected so I have 3 seperate areas if I needa block off a space deal with bullies. You could probly even use the panels of a few to build one giant run. Then you just lay chicken wire inside the chain link part to provide great security

Instead of DE...might look into Sweet PDZ to mix with your sand bedding.
It's available at farm stores in the horse section, 25# for about $10, get the granulated, not the powdered, form.
It's the mineral zeolite which absorbs ammonia...I mix mine about 3-4:1 (sandDZ).
It really helps with odor!
