My turkey almost killed my hen. Final update - She's gone.

Her poops are all white this afternoon and very small, just two of them since noonish. Before that they were green and white and runny.

She so far won't eat parrot food, chicken starter or layer, scratch, black oil sunflower seeds, cornbread, mealworms (or beetles), eggs, cheese, crackers, or raisins. She sleeps most of the time. She is drinking water, a lot at a time but not often during the day.

Since the attack she has the run of the house. She has a cage with a heat lamp, but is staying on a blanket under the kitchen table.

Should I give her another bath? Should I force feed her? How long can she go without food? Can I give her anything for pain?

I would say if she is hiding under the table that she is in Shock.. i posted earlier but wanted to say it again.. Please put her in a box with water in a warm quiet place overnight and see how she does tommorow.. She can dfefintly go quite a few days with out food as long as she is hydrated..

Also the white poo is because she doesnt have any food to change the color..

I would try layer ration with water mixed and liquified... in a surringe... try to force feed her a bit. Not too much, but enough to get something in her.

I would also add vitamin suppliment to her water.

The dark safe place is a good idea... and quiet too. Stress won't help her recover.

i'd sprinkle her feed under the table with her..so she can pick at it if she wants ....

If you force feed..dont actually put it fully in her mouth..maybe just try to dribble some along her beak... and make it thick enough that she cant choke on it...but not too think either...

Hard to know how much damage was done. Poor thing! Like others have said..keep her in a quiet place where she can rest. Sometimes just the stress of the attack can make a lot of animals go into shock. Also, make sure she has water near her so that she could drink. I hope she is better soon.

Mix the parrot food into a paste thick enough it doesn't run when you squirt a dollop out.

Use a fingernail to open her beak a bit, and squeeze a bit out into the tip of her beak. Do this until she rejects you until you feel awful, she eats a teaspoon, or until she decides she likes it and tries to eat it actively.

It's hard, but don't put the food or syringe in far, and ignore her rejection. If you can raise her blood sugar, it will raise her appetite!

You can also put some honey and milk in her water. Grapes are generally the food they'll eat when all else fails- and thawed frozen corn.

Keep trying- you're being a good chicken mom!

This is just a 'shot in the dark', but sometimes a Vitamin B injection can boost appetite. I second the grits idea too, mine would rip your arms off for grits.
