They sure aren't fancy, and not much to brag about, but they seem to be working. I pretty much built them myself with the sometime help from my daughter. I'm not very strong or good with tools so PVC was my choice. the siding is that plastic type chicken wire from HD, the top is the light weight netting that keeps birds off of fruit trees, the tarps keep blowing off the top in our high winds so I'm going to need to fix that, and it's all held together with Zip Ties

The pvc bulk feeders I built myself, the roosts are saw horses (they seem to like these a lot) and the nests are fenders off of antique trucks. So far just my red hen is laying but I think my sweetgrass is showing signs.

that is very neat and creative! if i could be nosey, im curious how much the pvc to frame it all in cost you, and how big your pens are? i also use that plastic wire too on my chicken pens, works well and is less costly for sure. id like to build some turkey runs and maybe i could use pvc!

sorry I started out keeping track and then that fizzled. It is much cheaper than wood though and you can find it used/free at almost any rehabitat store. I'll have to check the size . . . as soon as it stops raining!

those are fenders off of antique trucks, lol we have A LOT of them, my husband restores antique vehicles. So far they seem to be working well and I didn't have to hammer anything - a big plus!

aren't you funny steve, I've seen how beautiful your set up is

It looks very nice and I can see how the plastic mesh will keep the turkeys IN just fine, but are you at all worried about keeping predators OUT?? Because I woiuld think a fox or even a dog could get through those, and for sure a racoon. Just a thought. I used to use that on my brooder cages until I realized how easily it could give way to a predator attack.

Love the PVC, I use that too for the roof of some of my pens.
