My Very First Egg From My Own Chicken!!!!

Had my First Egg from my Lavender Araucana Today! She'll be 26 weeks old tomorrow and we're only having about 10 hours of daylight so hadn't really expected eggs yet! Its amazing how eggcited we've gotten over a simple egg! LOL! It's not the gorgeous green her egg was but its green and cute anyway!

This is my first time keeping chickens, and i'm loving it so so much!

I feel the same way when a young hen I've hatched or got from feed store lays her first egg. Sometimes it turns out to be the best thing that happened that day.

the first egg!

Doesn't matter how many hens you got, the first egg is always the most exciting.

I just hatched my own flocks eggs, and I was excited to see everyone of the fuzzy butts!
