My very first try at incubating

Pics
The chicks are playing some serious rugby with their sibblings, should i take them out when they’re dry? I testes it beforehand and the humidity is back up to standard within 2 minutes of opening the incubator. Also, the egg with the airchamber on the side that pipped yesterday around noon is not progressing, should i be worried?

I have the heating plate set up, but it gets to 104 F beneth it on the towels, should i tune it down a bit with the switch or is that fine? I guess if the towels are 104, the plate is even hotter...

I take mine out when they are mostly dry... I would turn the heat down a little myself. I keep my brooder about 100 and have not had any issues. With the heat lamp, they can move away from the light if they get too warm. Good luck and Congrats!!

Take them out in groups, never a single chick...but plate seems too hot.

Can you see it's beak, is it breathing?
@WVduckchick probably had the best link to assisted hatching, I can't find it.

What plate are you using? Does it have a rheostat to adjust temp? If the floor under plate is 104F, that's too hot.
