3 seems to be the magic number for the fibro birds. I just got home from work and powered down my incubator once again. Candled what was left and looks Like mostly early quitters and some jiggles. Not sure if this will be my last one or not, I'd like to do some detail stuff to the tank before commit more eggs to it but we'll see.
Got offered 100$ for some chickens the other day by a co-worker. And she's not even picky about which ones as long as they aren't chicks. I've got a couple adults and about a half a dozen older chicks picked out, not quite pullets and still hard to tell on sex so it's a crap shoot for her.
Finished another box today in prep for the watermelons, a little late but hey who's counting, I'll be happy as long as they grow at all. While I was watering i found The zucchini are doing really well. One day it's all just flowers and bees, the next there's 8inch veggies coming out of it, lol. I'll definitely be getting pictures of all of it in the morning, no cantelope yet but the plants are healthy and the dark opal, Thai and sweet Basil's are all doing really well, though not in boxes per se they are on crates in the unfinished ones to keep things streamlined in that area. Again pictures. The dark opal always looks so amazing. Lost a branch of pears, should have propped it up sooner.
Note to future self; first year fruiting isn't always the best idea.
Everything else is doing really well too. Another dozen eggs and I'll have yet one more olive tree.
All of this and still every day is one closer to a new little human being wiggling around here. Tick tick tick the anticipation is killing me.
Ill keep picking at things while I can to try and stay ahead, who knows how my time will be divided once the addition is here. I Was just talking with the boss tonight about that specific aspect as a matter of fact. I'm out here doing all these things to give my self as much spare time as I can allot before I need to change the game plan entirely.
Anyways I feel like I'm beginning to ramble and we can't have that
Onwards and upwards
