my very own micro farm

4 trays of water later and here we are on hatch day. Temp is steady. Humidity is up. Now it's time to keep my fingers crossed and stare at the bator every time the light kicks on.

well thats a fibro of a good day....hope they all hatch...going to be setting 60 fibro eggs and a set of pheasants today....goal is 500 fibros before the end of the year....so well see....

Snikies 500 black birds running Around. That's alot. Couldn't imagine trying to get everyone here on board with that many birds....yet. Lol.
Best of luck with that and the immediate future.

Onwards and upwards

I just saved a wild turkeys life. Heard some commotion from behind the old shed and thought it was one of my birds being attacked. Weird sound I'd never heard before. But I saw something fluttering around between the ground and trees frantically, maybe a hawk attack... Nope. Darn coyote was chasing after a big old hen. She had to be just as tall as him. Woulda been one heck of a fight. Well I scared the dookie out of both of them running over. Turkey went one way beeping up a storm and the coyote bounded off over the adjacent properties fences.

1st pip!!!!!. So glad I've been keeping busy, idle hnds and all that. and off to work in an hour :) Should be an interesting night. All I could think about last night was these little buggers. Maybe I'll set up an old camera phone to watch them while I'm at work.
