My Welsh Harlequin x Khaki Campbell duck(ling)s. (very pic heavy)

Quick new update. Esmeralda, my broody chicken hatched out some ducklings a couple of days ago. They also hatched 3 days early for her too.

Here are the two wh x kc ones.

Bonus pic of the two welsh harlequins.

And all four with mum.

Esme does not seem bothered that they're ducklings and that they enjoy jumping in the water tubs already.

The photo is a bit contrasty, but Emmy's batch are starting to feather out. I'm pretty sure now that the dark one in the middle (female) and the one behind (male) are the wh x kc ones. The leftmost two and front right one are the wh x muscovy. There's a few photobombers in this one too.

I checked on Wanda, she's still sitting on both eggs. Both are growing nicely. The one with the detached air cell, it is expanding towards the fat end of the egg, which might help with hatchability 🤷‍♀️.

Esme is still not perturbed by the funny looking chicks that like to go in the water. Two days old in these photos.

Farewell to these two. They were re-homed last week. Off to live a better life on 20 acres and swimming in real ponds.

Hi.

Just over 3 months old for big boy. He basically looks like his dad, except slightly bigger, greener, and browner instead of white. He's getting quite frisky now, head bobbing, trying to mate with his best bud. But she's having none of it, she's still a bit young at the moment, but give it a few more weeks. Thankfully, he's been respectful and hasn't tried to force the situation. He also has been trying to assert his dominance by attacking his mum/aunts, dad shuts that down and puts him in his place.

Boy is too beautiful... girl too, but this boooooooooy...

(His plumage colour is just perfect. We should make a breed of it!)

Rather than post the same thing twice (this time), here's a link to the post on my other thread.

I have to say : your threads are juste A.MA.ZING to read...
So many details and pictures...!!

(How do you even take so clear pictures? I'm impressed!)

This thread has gone slightly off topic recently (my fault (too many photos of other ducks)). To make up for that, here's a couple of Esme's cuties from yesterday, 1.5 weeks old.

And back to off topic, with Emmy's bio son (wh x muscovy hinny), 6 weeks old.

Started off yellowish, now looks very much like the dark ones.
