how long does it take until a welsummer rooster starts his crowing

It really depends on the bird and the circumstances. We've had roosters start crowing around 5 weeks and some we've never heard crow at all. Our Welsummer rooster didn't start crowing until around 12-14 weeks, but he was in with other big roosters. Some won't crow when they're with other, more dominant, roosters.
