Hi, been reading the post. I have a similar problem with having introduced new chickens in with my chickens I already had raised. My chickens already had some coughing that I thought was getting better, read some on CRD. Thought that was what it was, so treated with water mixed antibiotic. They got better, all except I noticed my 2 roo's still seemed to have some coughing going on. Then began noticing some others coughing again, and I think it just got started back up really bad when the colder weather started. I recently bought some new birds, they seemed healthy. I noticed a few of them coughing, but didn't think much of it. The fact that mine were coughing some too, I went ahead and put the birds together. Since then I have had 3 of the new birds develop eye swelling, I removed 1 that was really bad and then it died. The other 2 birds are alive, and don't seem to be getting worse, but now after reading I feel I have introduced my simple coughing flock into a whole new terrible deal. They have all been together around 5 days now, so does this mean they are all gonna get sick. I am treating all with antibiotic drinking water. I am gonna separate the 2 bad eye birds, but is it too late? Also not all the birds are even coughing, most seem fine as far as normal activity. What to do, any helpful tips would be great! I have around 50 chickens right now, and have not had any problems until now. I don't want to loose them all!
