We had two turkey eggs in a nest box to encourage one of our hens to sit and when I went out to feed them this morning one was missing. I searched the box, the litter inside the box, and the entire house and run. Nothing. No egg or even evidence of an egg being eaten. We live in Congo so it is a tropical area/place. My first thought was a snake but we have never had one bigger than a pencil in our yard before and the ones we have had wouldn't be big enough to swallow a turkey egg. Any other ideas? There is no evidence of egg eating so whatever took it dashed before dining on it.
