Mysterious skull in water bowl

So I'm a little freaked out. I have 10 Ameracauna Chickens and 2 Khaki Campbells in a chicken tractor outside with electric netting. I went to change their water bowl ( thats inside the tractor) only to find this skull sitting in the bowl. Can someone please help me identify what animal this is?

Also, all the chickens and ducks seem ok and I cant find the body anywhere in the tractor. A part of my electric fence was knocked down too :/

Yikes, thing was probably tortured. That looks like a rat skull to me, based off the beheaded rat our cat brought to us. Is it just the skull you found?

What part of the world do you live in? It is some kind of small carnivore but I need to know more about your location to narrow it down further.

Yes! All I found was the skull, no remnants of anything else. The teeth dont seem to be of a rat's thoigh

Not a rat. Rodents don’t have teeth like that. Good guess though based on size.

Yeah I think rats teeth are more narrow and longer in the front

Do you have any nature centers in the area? Possible they could identify it. Good luck!

It's a weasel, and it's old and been dead a long time. Your chickens probably pulled it out of the ground and dropped it there.
