Just a bit ago I was looking at a post and noticed a very unique bird in their avatar/sig. The mature chicken had a mottled feather with a yellow-gold and white speckle on a black background. It is just beautiful and would love to find out more about this breed.

Now I can't find it - might one of you recognize this breed and post a photo?

might have been mine... maybe? It is a juvenile photo of my mille fleur cochin roo. Here he is as an adult.

Oh thanks for posting - looks very much like your roo as a young man. The pic I saw I believe was more of a gold - is variation likely amongst this breed?
