Mystery chick death

We came home today to find a chick dead in our front yard. (All of our birds free range on our 3 acres) The other 3 chicks were hiding in some tall grass so I'm pretty sure a predator got the chick. Only we can't figure out what killed it. It looked perfectly fine. No puncture marks or wounds at all. It was just dead. Any thoughts on what kind of predator would do this? Or maybe something else was wrong with it? That wouldn't make sense for why the other chicks were hiding though. It was just weird.
