Mystery chick from McMurray Hatchery

I had ordered 25 Pearl White Leghorn pullets and this chick was my free one. I know now it is a Gold Laced Wyandotte. Not sure of the sex. It is 8 1/2 weeks old. Since I have no other Wyandotte to compare I am unsure what it might be - cockeral or pullet. Reading other sources and comparing pictures it most probably is a cockeral. What do you all think?

not an expert, but my 3, 8 week old wyandottes have no red wattle or no red comb.

uh oh, I have been worrying about that, but I have no other Wyandottes with which to compare.

May be too early to tell, it is easier to get fooled by breeds with pea or rose combs. Watch his hackle and sickle feathers and see if he starts getting more irridescent . His upright stance looks male to me though.

Golden Laced Wyandotte cockerel. I am 100% sure! He has bright yellow tree trunk legs, huge red wattles, saddle feathers, yep cockerel

How old is your mystery chick now? Mine was hatched 2/18. How does she compare to mine?
