Ok, makes abit more sense now. I wouldnt say they remember there friend being taken as such. But if it was present when the other was taken this can cause a huge amount of stress to them.
A stressed bird is 50x more likely to get ill so you may find the bird got stressed out and has now become ill. Id be very interested to see a picture of the feaces.

The very best thing to do when losing a bird with no obvious signs of cause is to have a necropsy done. This is especially important if you lose multiple birds without cause. In many states you can get free or low cost necropsies. Go to your state's Dept of Agriculture webpage and find your State Veterinarian. Call them and ask where you can get a necropsy. The local University near where i live provides them free of cost. It's always frustrating when you lose a bird and then are forever wondering what happened.

This is the poop. It has dried some and was more yellow. She is acting fine sort of now. When I open the cage she will get up and squawk at me like she doesn't want me to touch her. Still isn't eating or drinking though.
