Can anyone tell me what kind of bird this is? It has been wandering around the neighborhood for a few months now, and a few neighbors have stopped by to tell us one of our chickens is in their yard.
It has very thin black and white stripes and no feathers on it's head. Bigger than a chicken, definitely taller. Today I found it chilling out by my sliding glass door. I tried feeding it bits of bread (all I had on hand) but it would not be wooed. It hung out by the coop tractor for a bit before moving on to the next yard. It hung out on a fence for awhile but didn't come back today. Any ideas?
