Myth Busters, BYC style

The first idea i want to challenge is that you should not wash eggs. I have a bunch of guinea eggs i am ready to set. Washing one third with plain water, washing 1/3 with Oxine and water, 1/3 will be the control, unwashed. Be warned they are guinea eggs and take 28 days to hatch!

Oh how cool is that, I just set some serama eggs today, I'll mark half of them and wash them, See how that goes. Definitely following this thread..
Great, just put a mark of some sort on all your eggs so that isn't a factor in hatch rate! I love participation!

Just washed some, Eggs #1, #2, #3 and #4 are washed, I put little checks on them to make sure I know which ones are washed and which ones aren't. Mama wasn't happy at all. She's got 9 other serama eggs I just put under her, I'll try and post a pic or two later.

Here are my eggs, in three groups, unwashed, washed in water, washed in dilute Oxine.

i am going to mix them up so position in the incubator should not be an issue.

Ok, i keep hearing a lot of things that i consider false being perpetuated. Lets see if we can confirm or bust some myths. All BYC rules must be adhered to. No bickering. State your opinion, and provide evidence if possible. Remember, family friendly site.
You tell'm CAP!
