Shrimpy and Wry-neck seem to be doing okay. Shrimpy is a little less energetic than the others, though. I still might lose it.

I'm curious to see how these four do.Looking at the 40 chicks, there are four pure yellow chicks left. They are all much smaller than the rest of the chicks, with Shrimpy being the smallest. All three of the chicks I've lost have been yellow. I think there's something not quite right about them. The rest of the chicks are growing like weeds.
Wonder what the rate is for these blind albinos, because I've had 2 already. Will yours eat out of a feeder or just off of the ground? They're starting to get feathers. It looks like yellow runt is an albino.View attachment 1969949 View attachment 1969950
This is what my Egyptian roo looked like when he was little.I have a couple that are very red looking. This picture is a red one and a not so red one next to each other.

I tried keeping food on the ground for mine little one but the others would push it away and eat the food themselves. Frustrating, huh?I wonder if shrimpy is going to make it. It's not getting any bigger, or certainly not growing as fast as the others.

I agree about the yellows.I'm curious to see how these four do.
I think you are correct.
I haven't seen it eating out of the food dish, but I have seen it eating off of the ground. I have two feeders right now, and one's in my adult pen and the other's in my teen hutch. I'm going to pick up another one when I buy feed tomorrow. They're eating waaaay too much for me to keep up with b filling the dish. I've filled their dish at least seven times today. That won't work when I go back to work on Monday.Wonder what the rate is for these blind albinos, because I've had 2 already. Will yours eat out of a feeder or just off of the ground?
I hear ya! Mine are eating like there's no tomorrow! They're going outside tomorrow to a 2'x3' pen that I got ready for them today. They should have a ton more room. There's 59 of the little buggers! There are some really gorgeous ones from the pansy hatch. Ignore the poop.I haven't seen it eating out of the food dish, but I have seen it eating off of the ground.
