Nabiki's SSC hatch

I know I'm not supposed to help them out, but #43 was sitting there with a big hole in the egg with a foot sticking out. It wasn't going to make it without help. It looked much better before I left for work.

I know. They're everywhere. Once I call this hatch done I'm going to shake them out into my adult pen's calcium dish along with some of the hatched egg shells. I give them oyster shell all the time, but they really prefer the egg shell.

Me too! I can't handle them tripping and falling all over the empties, I had one get its head stuck inside an empty that closed back up on it! Poor dummy!

Oh, I pick up the empties. @Kiki is talking about the shell fragments still on the paper towel.

The one I helped this morning has a seriously wry neck. It's eating, so I hope I can keep it around until it's big enough to eat.

I have turned off the incubator.

Total eggs set: 68 (60 from Myshire's SSC Collection, 8 from my Falb Fee hen)
Infertile or early quitters: 19 (all of mine and 11 SSC)
Hatched chicks: 43

Here's all of the cute fluffy chicks that hatched. You can see wry neck up near the upper left corner.

Looks like you're gonna have some good Silver in there.

Does this look right? Do you happen to know exactly how many were not fertile?
