Naked chicks from Buff Orpingtons

I had 2 chicks hatch with no fuzz, totally naked.

I had to keep them separate from the rest of the hatch (28), because of pecking. They were cold and sad, so I added 2 other chicks to the little broader, and that worked. Its been a few months and they are doing well, although the female is smaller and paler. She has a little bit of fluff now, but the rooster only has a few sad feathers. They are pure bred Buffs. How did this happen? Can I breed them? Or should I donate them? Show them? I call them my weirdos.

Yes, this year's spring hatch. Got the parents as chicks from a lady who ordered too many from the hatchery a year ago.

Well that's sad. I do know that they do special breeding and stuff to get a hybrid BALD meat chicken. By any chance do you know what's in their grain? Such as, lots of corn and/or GMOs. I've heard that if you breed two Frizzles together, you'll end up with bald chickens. Was any of the parents related?

I think the featherless gene is recessive, but I could be totally wrong. @nicalandia @Amer
