Guys I can't say how happy I am. Everybody is fine right now, grandma's rooster is scared to death but good thing is that my rooster left him alone. I don't know what was going on during the night but right now only troublemaker is my top hen. I think she will save her spot in the pecking order. She is fighting with everyone! I am with them since 6 am and I think they got used to me. Little rooster is always near me 'cause I defended him a bit but I don't want to get in their fights too much. They have to work it sometime.

Anyways, I think that it couldn't be better!

Oh now I remember him. I didn't know about his name. So how old is he?

I'm so glad it went relatively well! I'd be prepared with housing in case you need to separate the little rooster if their fighting escalates... But then again, I'm the paranoid type.

When things settle down, you'll have to tell us what sort of chickens your grandma had that have joined your flock. (Do I understand correctly that this is permanent?)

Houdini looks so adorable in his jacket...now I want a featherless chicken just so I can knit it a sweater...hehe. Anyway, I was wondering if there are any complications with the hatching of featherless birds compared to normal ones? Does the hatch not take as long due to the feathers not having to develop?

There is one thing weird in this whole situation. Coop where they sleept is sprinkled with blood and it seem like there is lot of it but I didn't see that many injuries except on rooster's leg and two hens head and I spent whole day out with them. I went in only for lunch.

The biggest problem was top hen from my flock. She fought with every single chicken from other flock. Her head is a mess. I don't know if I should do something with it but I just don't know how and what. All the bad things happened in the morning.

Later this day, two hens from grandma's flock gave me eggs and also they went to coop all by themselves.

Oh and we still don't know if they will stay with us but there is 99.99% chance they are. I will take pictures(and lot of them) because I think that I might have some mottle carriers and I will need to make decisions on who will not be culled because we can't have 20 chickens. It's too much.

Oh and I already made friends with one hen. Not Nn but sweet, beautiful and huge!

Oh, that blood is alarming. Do you have an accurate head count? Maybe separate the top hen out for a little while? So she can heal and maybe to knock her down a peg or two so she's not picking on everyone?

Nobody is touching her and she isn't fighting with anyone anymore. She will probably stay with all the rest.
