Naked Neck/Turken Thread

The ones in icu are still alive, a couple I really doubt are going to make it to morning. Here are some pics of those that made it to the brooder, a couple aren't pictured since their pics turned out blurry. Taking pics of hours old chicks isn't really easy! lol These two came out feathered, my two roos aren't double gened and a several of my hen aren't double gened so this is always a possibility, at least one looks bearded though. The one in the back I've been calling Gypsy girl (b/c of her face) all the rest of these are the same girl I'm calling Beautimous :love
Beautiful as always. Now I remembered, as I was looking for naked one, are your two roosters even carriers? And has Phyllis(spell check) started laying yet?

Are any of these from the hen you just recently lost? BTW: they are all so cute even the ffo.

Thanks. Yes a couple are from the green egg, but in the blur of helping the hatching I'm not sure which ones now. Yes at least one of the boys is a carrier, one naked hatched, but is in icu not expected to make it. No Phyllis hasn't started laying yet, though her head and comb are bright red so any time now.

Are the ones with white spot on their head barred?

Cracked open one of the Speckled Sussex's eggs for an omelet, and guess what? It was fertile!!!

KASSAUNDRA I am so very impressed with your ability to assist hatch and photograph. WOW such pretty chicks. You could switch jobs and become photographer !

DESERTCHIC AND FIRE ANT FARM ET AL I love to read all your silly post that personify the chickens. hah

Newbie question am sure, but what does the head and comb tuning bright red mean?
