Naked Neck/Turken Thread

They're all gorgeous, but this one really caught my attention. In the top photo he looks downright predatory...like a feathered dinosaur contemplating his live prey. And the bottom photo....love that windswept "hairdo" look.
That one is intriguing to me too. I am 99% sure he is male, and I haven't had a male w/ this color pattern (that I can remember anyway)

Okay...my turn! Yesterday was weights and photo day for my last NN hatch, and I continue to be thrilled with the results. I'll start with my favorite boys:

Tank - not the best photo, but he's still the biggest boy and continues to hold the size record for his age: 4.17 lbs @ 10 weeks

Frost - I worried originally at this "runt", but now he's quickly catching up to Tank in size, growth rate, and body shape: 3.76 lbs @ 10 weeks

And my two "surprise" cockerels who are suddenly putting on a lot of muscle.
Sylvester - I've never been a huge fan of black & white barred NNs, but I have to give this guy credit for both his beauty and his personality. 3.6 lbs @ 10 weeks

And Bucky - 3.52 lbs @ 10 weeks

And now my girls:

My favorite for breeding, Trixie: 2.89 lbs @ 10 weeks - I love all of her barring!

My independent, active and adventurous puppy-like girl, Michonne: 2.47 lbs @ 10 weeks

My very calm and sweet Saffron: 2.61 lbs @ 10 weeks

My uniquely colored and barred Shasta: 2.44 lbs @ 10 weeks

My "I hate you but the camera loves me so take my photo already" girl, Bonnie: 2.76 lbs @ 12 weeks

I still have a few more birds that were simply too uncooperative to photograph, including my second favorite breeder, Buffy. Maybe next time.

Our new baby.....my first Naked Neck. She has a pretty serious bowtie, but I think it's cute

She's precious!!!! You'll be amazed by how quickly they feather out and develop compared to their fully feathered counterparts. I've had NN chicks start flying and perching at 1 1/2 weeks while my FF birds take 3 weeks or more to do the same.
