Historically that's how it was supposed to be. Men dressed to show the ladies and everyone else how successful they were, maidens dressed plain, and married men made sure to put jewelry and nice cloths on their wives as proof of how successful they were.

The activity here comes and goes. There's also a new thread, Naked Necks Anyone?, that gets some activity too.
I think some spend more time on fb now, too.

How did I just find this thread?! Naked Necks are the BEST! One of my rescues is a gorgeous Naked Neck rooster. He is such a big gentle giant. He has fathered 10 chicks so far. Here is a picture of his latest offspring, born in March. A broody named Penelope hatched them. So cute!!!

The chicks names are (from left to right): Gwendolyn, Painted Lady, (the white one didn't make it ), Duke, Duchess, and Silver Back.
