ok so I may not be the only one hatching for those necked necks...... but I am having a ball!

I have a hatch each of the next 4 weeks.... some may be Nn and some may not be. I am hoping to get a good color mix going on, right now I have a decent blue, black, white, buff, partridge, and several that i am not sure what to call. Blue foot, my white Nn rooster is currently in with my Delaware hens so we will see what that hatches.... and Big Boy my Delaware rooster is in with my Nn hens. This could be fun!

You might end up with some NN's that have a columbian-like color in the feathering.

I think that @Compost King has some that are due to hatch again, or just hatched some of his also.
I enjoy reading his adventures. I like that he can state where he is doing. In my case I put this rooster in here for a while, oh and I love this egg color gotta hatch it..... what happens if I hatch from this pen? Oh but look these hens want babies so I will give them these eggs in my hand.... hmmmm where did that baby come from? It's so pretty I want more.... but how did I get it?...... sigh I am less than disorganized. But have many egg and chicken colors and some Big chickens! Lol

I would love that.... one thing I am trying to do right now, ok not too hard, is get Big Boy in the same pen as the 2 red broiler hens that look like they should be laying..... ok so they are in the right pen now I gotta figure out if they are laying and if so whitch eggs???? Sigh. Lol

I agree. His thread about that is so interesting to me, and he explaine's pretty well what he is doing over there very well. I'm really interested in where he goes with his NN/RR crosses next.

Yes anytime someone is crossing Nn I am excited to see where they will take it..... my blue foot will hopefully be the start of my Nn meat line. So far his size is good and some of his offspring carry the improved size so I am hopeful. I have 4 of his boys I am watching to see what will happen, ok one of them is black and will be the start of my DD's black Nn project. So now we wait for eggs to hatch.

In the bottom pic the blue, red and small white chickens are pullets. The roo in the left corner of both pics is black with beetle green in the sun, but his head has streaks of red in it. He also has some red patches on his shoulders and wings...beautiful boy! He was chasing the blue boy yesterday and everyone was upset. I really can't wait to get all the extra boys processed for the freezer. I can see that everyone is edgy and ready to bolt at the slightest hint of a disagreement.
