Boy I just really like this guy.
He’s so lanky and awkward right now lol.
I think (hope! ) he’ll be a great rooster.

I had 4 out of 8 Bresse/NN hens go broody this year, and a couple of them have gone broody a second time.
I have found that once the summer gets on, into June, the broodies have been less successful. Too hot.... way more eggs are dying and rotting halfway through incubation. More drama as some try to share eggs and the eggs get crushed from too many feet in the nest. Clutches hatched in April and May were the most successful.

Huh.... yeah I planned to take a break from hatching for the summer and here we are incubator still running in july with at least one more big batch "planned".... I have managed to get some pretty Nn out of these last few go rounds.

I like the reddish color with dark tail. I have a pullet that looks quite similar.
