Naked Neck/Turken Thread

See? You can't have too many NN's! ;) Congrats on being able to add one more to your flock! :celebrate
I offered 3 pullets and 1 cockerel (10 weeks old) in trade for a single 18 week old NN. Ya know, sometimes you just gotta scratch an itch. To my surprise though, and long story short, I'm getting the NN gifted to me, and still keeping my youngsters. ;)
That gives me 3 NN ready to make some NN x Dampierre meaties! Thinking about calling'em Wet Necks, or Naked Frenchies, lol.

You can't beat that kind of deal. Good luck on your breeding project!

Hi all,
I have posted some pictures about my two Turkens few weeks ago. one of them started to crow last week but I am wondering why the other one is not still showing any signs of crowing?? (On the updated picture the left one is a rooster)

Often the dominant rooster will crow and the subordinates won't, or at least not for a while anyway.

Thank u for the reply. Is there a chance that the other one is a hen?

If they are the same age I would doubt it based on their combs. I'm finding it difficult to see their bodies. Can you get a pic in more light of the saddles and hackles? If those feathers are pointy and not round they're cockerels
