received my first 2Dz fertile NN eggs today .3 where broken the rest where fine .they come from inrelated mixed flock . all sort of colour . looking forward to see them hatching and growing .

View attachment 1936816 one of my favorite roosters big boy and a Delaware hen. He weighed in at 5 pounds at 12 weeksView attachment 1936817 his half brother blue foot and his girlfriends. He is Big... never remembered to get weights on him but he makes nice babies. His comb got a little frost bite but otherwise s great rooster for making Nn meat birds, in my opinion anyway.
Yes I am going for big birds, i love hatching but when half turn out to be cockrels, they get eaten and they need to be big enough to feed our family of 5, that is 3 teenagers. Dont get me wrong I need decent egg numbers too so I have many breeds and mutts. I love my Nn and have some exciting colors coming up.they are big chooks for sure .love the Delaware hen .gorgeous .
