Don't DARN yet on that Polish, could just be a "stage".

pg, looking forward to seeing your crew.

Allison he looks OK just being led by a little testosterone. Is the little black bird next to the splash frizzle the other frizzle ? More pictures of you flock please ! More pictures from everyone to help us make it through the winter !

KKH....he's crowing, they all look like game birds when crowing.....he's LOVELY. I think quite a lot of NNs look a bit 'gamey', though, and it's not a bad thing.

Here are my contenders for NN consort(s) for next Spring.

1. Gordon......don't need to post a pic. of him. Positive attributes a real sweetie, very tame, well liked by the hens, FIT.......runs miles. Negative attributes......HUGE,' singular looking'. Neutral attributes.....very 'gamey' looking, green eyes.

2. Blondie

Positive attributes.....good looking in a NN sort of a way, very tame, very healthy. Negative attributes.....adolescent and over-sexed right now, VERY small (don't be fooled by the attitude he's a little squirt!), Naked Neck x Something or other, big bow tie.

3. Cefnaur (means gold back....shortened to Cef and pronounced 'Kev'......sorry another one)

Positive attributes.....interesting feathers, nice personality, medium sized. Negative attributes......NN X Something, big bow tie. Neutral.... still a young man, not yet crowing or treading. Not yet in full adult plumage.

4. Lastat

IMG_6680.jpg

Positive attributes... an absolute charmer in spite of unusual looks. Negative attributes......pure La Flèche.

The girls are all shapes, sizes and colours.....black pure, blue =NNXBlue Partridge Brahma, and Blackchops NN X Turkey.....yes I am joking, but she's massive, whatever the cross.

If they were yours, who would you breed with who? (Nobody will end up in the freezer even if you think they are 'undesirable' as they are here to stay and we are vegetarian......so don't hold back on the negative comments!)

Thank you, my BYC friends.

x2! For me, personality has A LOT to do with it. I only keep sweet birds, and if they're friendly to people that's even better.
The only drawback with Gordon are his feathered legs. I'm not crazy about that, but I'd overlook it due to his personality, size,
and beautiful coloring.

#2 pic is Cefnaur. I like the unknown element, plus he's a beautiful boy as well.

flower, Diva is developing her own fan base here. Everyone loves her. I just ordered her a diaper with a bow so she can
go to school in style

KKH .....Diva is beautiful. How ever do you keep her so clean? Mine are permanently grimy. She is pretty enough to take anywhere. Is her face/neck dark blue or black?

Sounds as though Gordon is pretty popular. His leg feathering is very light, so it might be lost in his offspring. Gordon's wattles are getting very long, and when they droop into his porridge he does a strange little neck/head dance to get the porridge off. I have discovered that if I shout "Hey Gordon" and shake my head from side to side, he will do his little head dance back.......but that's nothing to do with his genes!

Cefnaur is quite striking, even if his one wattle is about an inch longer than the other due to an added flap!

I will probably end up trying out a few of the boys to see what kind of babies they make.

What breeding 'trials' are others doing?
