If you don't *see* naked on the neck, then they didn't inherit the gene for Naked Neck AT ALL and can't carry it.
You could use the feather neck reds to cross back to birds that HAVE a naked neck and get naked necks. The percentages would be the same as if you were crossing out to a Rhode Island Red or other feather neck breed.
Yes we are keeping some of the females, not sure yet which ones or how many though. I told my husband the bad part about hatching out such cuties is eventually the "deed" has to be done!!!Kassaundra, your babies are wonderful! I know how excited you are! Hope you are keeping some!
