For the most part: Doesn't matter as long as any parent is true NN and not a cross itself, the chicks will all be nn's
Sometimes tho with so many breeds being crossed into NN's you'll have a cross and not realize it then you'll get some really funky birds![]()
If both parents are NN then most chicks will be NN. But if only one parent is NN and that parent has only once copy of the nn gene (genes come in pairs) most likely result will be about 25% offsprrings with some degree of NN. The results are not as clear cut as you think. Breeders need to keep incubating chicks for a long time if they want some specific results. DDD, Kev and Aoxa incubate/incubated lots of chicks to arrive at their goal. But if all you want is a few birds with naked necks, it will be not so hard.

Crossing with any top knotted variety will get you some top knotted chicks. These chicks have spitzhauben and houdan in their background. Is that a cross that makes them have them? If so what's it crossed with?

Don't have any at all, the hens I have have those parentage. If you would like a chick I probably will have extras of those.Kewl! Got any of them spitzhauben or houdan Roos you want to sell?![]()
