Naked Neck/Turken Thread

Well I think in a few days she will healed. here is what she looked like 11 days ago.

I just want to get her back with out any trouble. I was thinking of letting her outside at first so she could run for a few days then let her in the coop.

I say yes, with you watching them
Do that until you feel is safe to let her sleep with the flock

Well I am no longer a NN owner. My 5 month old pullet,Red

died today, She was acting fine this morning and gone at dinner. No marks...nothing, I have no clue why.

I'm sorry to hear that.

Xovan You bird is healing well and you did a good job taking care of her but sometimes we just can not do everything needed especially when there are no signs of illness as in the case of Insanity's Red Hen. It is sad but I have had that happen also. Sometimes a bird looks OK and then they are gone. Maybe some birds are just not as strong as they look.

Well said Flower, I always call these events; one of Mother Natures dirty tricks.... :/

Howdy Froggie How are all you little Seramas ? Did you read back posts from this thread ? This is one of the best on BYC. Lots of information here and some very unique birds and cast of characters. I have a two Serama/NN and they are very fiesty and durable. One became a foster mother and is very serious about her role. She sat with another hen, a very big Marans. The Marans is bored with the chicks but little Miss Roja keeps up with them. Two of them are large fowl and she still lets them sit under her even though they are just about the same size as she is. Funny birds !
