Wonderful pictures Kass. And the blurriness of the action shots creates an additional sense of action.

DDD still no camera. I bought a camera which comes with recharging battering and the recharger. Now all I need to do is remember to take the battery out and charge it.

Instead I left it at a friends house 200 miles away ?

She is pretty. What makes her a favorite, size, color, patterning, personality, etc... Just curious.

P.S. I really like the pattern on her feathers

All the above. lol She's a big sweet girl that is bred to produce. As for color...I know nothing except solids.

What color would you say she is?

I only know a few colors too, solids, birchen, and a few others.

I would call her wild type, I probably like it so much b/c it reminds me of my first chicken flock my EE, that I recently lost to preditor attack.

Beautiful birds everyone! :weee

@TommyDaDelaware My goodness! That IS a whopper of a comb! Lovely, though!

@Kassaundra Looove the photos of Reba and the chicklets. :love So sweet. And I love Jackie O more every time I see her lol. Those actions shots are great! I know it's a pecking order thing, but my heart still stops a bit when my boys go at it like that.

@Dipsy Doodle Doo :love :love I'd looove to get my paws on some of your NN (/dipsygoth :drool) eggs next year. Next year..sounds so far away but holy crap, it's less than a month away .. !

@flower Ooh, I'd feel guilty asking for a copy of that genetics information after you did all the grunt work. :gig

After my "great wipeout" that took out the majority of my NNs, I only have the 3 youngsters (5 months old) left, but they seem to be handling our cold weather ok. And it's gotten down to single digits some nights. Our coop is big (8x12), non-insulated, and even a bit drafty, but it's amazing how warm it stays in there from all the warm bodies. Even the 2 itty-bitty serama dudes, one frizzle, I have left are peachy.

At least you are smart enough to know how to operate your camera. I bought a new one a while back and haven't taken the time to learn (have someone who knows) how to use it

What pics I have were taken yesterday with a friends phone. Good effort on her part but the pic quality suffers.
