Spunkychick, those chickies are adorable I wasn't ignoring your question, just don't have an answer yet. I have very limited space and am thinking that any babies I do this year I am going to try and hatch from my Fm boy.

The melons question, I am doing both watermelon and cantaloupe this year but am doing the small ones, I had such good luck w/ the small french melons the past two years of insane heat and drought.

Show quality? I would like to start breeding them to.

The white and red turken bantams that they offer are expensive.They must come from show stock,but they do not claim you will have show quality birds.These are offered in a special section of their catalog.I agree with the others,I forgot about Duane Urch,have not bought from him but have heard good things about his birds.

I also keep several naked necks and have a few projects I have been working on, Black skin NN from a couple of clean leg standard size blackskin hens I got at an auction, a black NN with a low stance and some tall stance NN's from a NN shamo cross and I am going to cross a JG with an on loan shamo to breed some new big shamo into them.
I also prefer NN's with small combs and little to no waddels I am not a fan them with full waddles and straight comb.
Anyone in South florida with an extra white showgirl rooster I am looking for one.

and welcome to the naked neck/turken thread.Would like to see some pics of your naked necks and your projects.There are a few on here that have FM or black/dark skinned naked necks. I am working on a naked neck polish or crested naked neck project.Hatched only one polish X naked neck chick last year.Decided not to use her because she was too small.Will be setting my first eggs from my frizzle polish rooster and my naked neck hens,this weekend.

I felt very bad about it they were just little garden snakes, but we gathered up the mutilated bodies and ...........................................

Oh ok, I have a hen that looks like yours from a free rescue farm place but they have many polish roo/hens so I think my hen is a Pol/NN mix. I'll post a pic of her soon but she's wild and she lays white eggs.
