Naked Neck/Turken Thread

Hi Insanity! Yes, there is a chance : )
If the roo has 2 copies of the gene for naked neck (you can see it by a small bowtie or lack of bow tie) ALL his offspring will have naked necks.
If the roo has a large bow tie, he only has one copy of the gene for naked neck and his offspring have a 50% chance of inheriting a naked neck.

Did I ever tell you that when my first NN was born, I panicked because I thought it had no eyes! What I was looking at was the little naked earlobe! hahaha!
 
That''s funny! When I hatched my first vaulted skull Silkie chick, I thought it was deformed and would have to be put down.
When my first Naked Neck chicks were getting ready to hatch, I dreamed they hatched and had NO down at all and were slithering around the hatcher like snakes --- yikes!

Just saw a photo that a guy in TS took of the chicken they are breeding. It was TOTALLY naked. No feathers anywhere. Weird!
