I got some pics of the NNFGE guy in #2 pen --- comb and wattle pics. That is mud on his head.

I don't know what-the-heck kind of comb to call it, except BIG.

And my most awesome 'chicken dog', Darby, wanted to make sure I didn't bring a chicken back up with me.

wow:ep looks like the wattles that devoured Cleveland.

Yes, they do. That's why I can't decide if I like the *look* or not.
I might put him in with some Fm NN G-E girls, I think I would like the look better if it was Fm : )

Darby is 'Mom-to-all' here --- she just loves anything 'baby' and all my babies are her babies. She thinks chicken and duck mating behaviour is too violent and will interrupt it when she can, she doesn't like to see the girls getting attacked (as she sees it). If she sees roosters chest-bumping, she stops that. There is a Muscovy duck on eggs under the deck and she is guarding the nest from the male ducks.
Tom says I ruined a perfectly-good-dog by turning her into a chicken-dog : )

well my splash hens are feeling really good right about now, they dont care if he is only there for a little while and no chicks get hatched but the are enjoying the precence of royalty

ETA: this are my blues with a stray buff looking pullet.

Now these, are pretty NN's! Love the splash!
