Thank you.She is unique looking.Great broody hen.Got her a few months back from BYC member New To Farming.She had chicks that were only a few days old,when I got her.And here she is now raising another brood.She is a salmon faverolle,silkie,and naked neck blend,

What a great bunch of photos today - such pretty chicks!! I was going to comment, but wow, there were so many good ones it would have taken me forever!

Here's my two - they are now 2 weeks old. They are supposed to be pullets, but we all know how that goes... I hope they are because we already have too many roos.

Can Barred NN chicks be feather sexed the same way Dominiques can (spot on the head and darker shanks)? That's one of the things that attracted me to Doms but if it works on Barred NNs I may have to rethink what I get next year.

yes but important the line is *pure* for barring as not pure barred males will be as 'dark' as females.

lines with Bsd- sex linked dilution are way easy for sexable chicks. I had some show up from crosses to show stock naked necks. Pictures added below, they were pure for black with only Bsd added. if pure bred, they would definitely be auto-sexing.
