Naked Neck/Turken Thread

Hello everyone. I just hatched out two NN Olive Eggers today. I wasn't expecting them and actually thought something was wrong with the chick at first. Lol. Their momma was a NN which lays green eggs and their daddy is a FBCM. I got these eggs from another BYC member. I took a few pics sorry the quality isn't that great. When I have them all out I'll take better ones. Has anyone had this type of combo? It has feathered legs, and copper highlights. Very cute.

Very cute! I don't have any pictures of cross birds only these two hens which are second generation from a BCM x cuckoo NN cross- the roo is not related to them and doesn't have any Marans in him:



They're nice sized and pretty good layers of jumbo eggs. The black one is an olive egger.

I found two eggs today and I still don't know if my turken laid one. Do either of these look like they came from her?

Could be, many NN lay eggs similarly colored to that. to your earlier post:

White Pearl is a line of white leghorns sold by McMurray hatchery. Congrats on first egg and she is the one who laid it.

just got this little girl, are first nn ever!! going to be exciting watching her grown and to learn about her. We got her from a bin at our local farm store.

One of the eggs is the lightest shade of brown. I didn't know it was brown until I had it in the house!

I received my hatching eggs from Dipsy yesterday! So so so excited. Hope the 21 days go fast! Been wanting a NN roo to put with my girls. Hoping to get a frizzle roo from this hatch! Thanks Lisa!!
