, my apologies to the sexy girl

Looks delicious!
I made waffles, bacon, and eggs the other night for dinner. When the waffles were finished, I decided to see how the waffle maker would make eggs:

Close the lid, wait a minute, open it, and
Waffled Eggs:

(it amused me anyway).

Eggs are good any way you cook them. Unless you burn them or don't cook them enough that is.

I never used to like eggs until I really pastured my birds. Like exclusively.. I limit my feed so they have to find their own. It has made the eggs unbelievable. So good...

It's totally personal preference how you breed your own birds.

The reason for yellow legs is it was decided by the folks who set up the Standard was to make NN a yellow skinned breed. Yellow legs is simply the yellow body skin showing through on the legs.

There's two main chicken skin colors- white and yellow. Your white/pink legged bird just has the white skin and as a result his legs are white instead of yellow. No big deal if not breeding to SOP.

Flower- what's up in the Arizona desert? Settled in and growing things yet?
My flock is thriving ! They plus the garden have been a prority. Temps have been high 90's to 100 but cools nicely at night. Do not miss RC at all except my friends in lo cal are missed as I did meet agreat bunch of people there through chicken meets and shows. How are you feeling these days ?

Another newbie to the breed and to this forum.
Amazing a thread that is 759 pages long!
Loved looking at everyone's photos and learning so much. I admit I haven't read all 759 pages but working on it.

I stumbled upon the NN oddly enough at a field auction that only had a few chickens. I saw this odd bird and thought, yup gotta have it.
Photo is first day home in isolation. She's with the rest of the "normal" birds now and I gotta say, I'm totally in love with this breed. Now to find some more :)

Here she is
Gorgeous ! Post one of her eggs with others to show us the comparison. And welcome !

Well I posted these awhile ago but they have grown alot. I'm hoping they are both girls. We still have no crowing so maybe.
