Naked Neck/Turken Thread

Oh
Ya these are the ones i got from you. They are all being nice to each other but i was trying to get them to not be afraid of me. The problem is they will eat the egg but the are afraid to come close to me to get it.

Ohhhh I tought that grey were pecking each other.

They are shy at first but keep at it and they will learn to come to you.

What I do at first is let them get used to me staring at them then Iove my hand and leave it in the brooder, and they soon learn I'm not going up harm them.

Give it time

They will eventually learn to trust the hand that feeds them... My chicks go crazy when they hear my back door open and they see me.. they know its snack time.

Soon they will learn that you are the one who brings them food and that will help but as everyone said, it takes a little persistence to gain their trust. Don't forget the big size difference.

I don't know I'm still trying to figure out what color my NN pullet is... She's just going through her 17 week molt and developing SPOTS! She's always been dark in color with a large whiteish/ blue splotch on her butt, but now she's getting white tips to her feathers that look like spots on her breast and legs O.o

Have not had a chance to take pics and post them in a while.Just had so much going on,wife and her family are going through major health issues.Got a chance to take a few pics today. The first pic is of a frizzle naked neck pullet that is out of my naked neck rooster from cackle hatchery and a splash frizzle naked neck hen from Dipsy Doodle Doo's stock. The other 2 pics are of the parents.
