Naked Neck/Turken Thread

I know this is not the faverolle thread, but many of you know me and I am sad today so needed support from you all:

I am heartsick. I went out today and took all sorts of cute photos of my 9 week old Salmon Faverolle with her duck family. They brooded together and were inseparable! I came inside to post the photos on the Faverolle thread and also wrote to the lady I got the eggs from to share with her. Then, when I went outside to put my babies away, I found a hawk eating her! I just can't believe it! Why does this have to happen! She was so cute and so sweet! The ducks are upset, too. They are squawking like they have never done! Here are the photos I took of her just a few hours ago!

She probably gave her life for her baby ducks !

Never heard that, about the red on the legs, have to look at mine

But you could be right about both been girls, check on saddle feathers, if you don't see it on Herman then you might have an Herminia there.

You know how they say a picture is worth a thousand words.....Here is a pic of my little 4-5 week old NN and check out the leg....I knew then and there is was a boy..... At two months he already had bright red on the top of his neck....
