Not sure how they will turn out.. in reality those light colored chicks with stripes aren't supposed to happen- was expecting blue or black chicks with brown or light colored masks. I'm not good with telling what genes chicks like these might have. Black/white or blue/white birds with probably half moon spangles or spot spangles on body/breast with streaks on back.
I got the silver sussex because they are supposed to be birchen large fowl, for the silver laced bantam NN to make the same color in large fowl with lacing all over(including tail). But the solid black chicks are worrying me a little bit.. might mean the SS may be leaky blacks, not birchen. Totally wrong genes for that project and if they are carrying wheaten that's worse news.. because wheaten has a very strong tendency to make breasts light- will really mess with lacing on the breasts.
They're so cute but worrying me a fair bit... lol
