OH! I've been meaning to ask this question. Do NNs have issues with getting sunburnt?
Mine never have but they are introduced to sun as early and often as I can manage.

Mine made it through a Texas summer without a problem with sunburn, but I have lots of oak trees for shade too.OH! I've been meaning to ask this question. Do NNs have issues with getting sunburnt?

This is what we did with a large dog crate. lined the walls with a pizza box cut in half. Stops the draft and keeps the shavings in. as they got bigger moved the lamp to the top and adjusted the temp with lower wattage light bulbs. When they are big enough to see over the cardboard they don't stick their heads through.
Moved Them :
Rooms @ 74 or so They move around in /out lamp starting to Play with Ball toy, ( Blue ping pong Ball ) chirps like crazy. Lined on 3 sides with Peg Board and Zip tied in place, will Lower as needed, Great for keeping most Shavings in. Front is Portable window screen, Lets me get to dishes.
Thanks Guys![]()
I am very familiar with West Virginia, my mom is from Doddridge county and I have traveled all over the state visiting her family and seeing the sights. Its funny, I don't get sunburned any more, and I am as pale as can be. You learn to stay out of the heat in the middle of the day and work in the morning and the evening.Huh...I made it through a couple Texas summers too, but I DID get SUNBURNED!! I love Texas but could not stand the heat...Live Oak trees notwithstanding!![]()
EDIT:A childhood friend who lives in Houston called me yesterday...telling me about icy roads and bunches of accidents...

We had a few flurries but nothing hit the ground, but I am 4 hours from Houston. It's a big state and the weather can be very different from one side of the state to the other.
Every time I see your quote "It's West by God Virginia" I snicker because my my Mom has corrected many people for thinking she is from Virginia.
